"I have a burning thirst to be honored by men in the Blessed Sacrament, and I find hardly anyone who strives, according to my desire,to allay this thirst by making me some return of love" (Jesus to St. Margaret Mary).Today we have the greatest source of mercy and joy among us, but how many of us go to adore Him in the Eucharist? How many of us actually believe and live out that belief everyday of our lives not just Sunday? The truth is that few people adore Jesus in respect to the number of Catholics in the world. Jesus Christ lives on just as He lived in Bethlehem. But again, only the humble Shepard-like people go out to meet Him.
The Eucharist is truly the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord. There is nothing less wonderful about it; Jesus Christ is really present in the Sacred Host. I will continue to repeat this because it is so miraculous. Jesus Christ at the Last Supper instituted the Eucharist when He said to His Apostles: "This is my Body...For This is my Blood..." In Consecration the bread and wine cease to be bread and wine and truly become Our Savior. The only thing remaining of bread and wine is the appearance (called the accidents).
Throughout history, there have been rare instances when even the appearance of bread and wine left. These Eucharistic miracles not only confirm the Real Presence but also that Jesus Christ remains with us. The Miracle of Lanciano, Italy (8th Century); Cascia, Italy (1300s); and Sienna, Italy (1730) are just two miraculous events. Most of these have taken place hundreds of years ago, but God is gracious! A proposed Eucharistic miracle just occurred in the Dallas, Texas! Roughly, 30 days ago a young boy received Our Lord's Sacred Body and Blood at Mass but vomited in the bathroom afterwards because he was sick. The priest, Father Mario, took the Eucharist and placed it in a glass of water to dissolve. For nearly 30 days Fr. Mario forgot about the host and when he noticed the glass again, the Eucharist remained intact! Over 30 days the Eucharist remained undissolved!
Fr. Mario added additional water to it and when the Eucharistic Host slid over in the glass it began to bleed.
I want to thank K, a fellow blogger, for actually sending me the photo of the Eucharist from Dallas. The photo was taken by a friend of hers in Dallas. This is truly amazing. Please continue to praise and thank God for this glorious event in our midst.

PRAYER: O sweetest Heart of Jesus, I implore that I may love Thee more and more. Jesus meek and humble of Heart, make my heart like unto Thine.
Only in the Catholic Church is Jesus truly present in the Most Holy Eucharist. This is the great proof that the Catholic Church is the one true Church of Jesus Christ.
IMPORTANT UPDATE (Mar 24th): The Diocese says that tests show that bacteria has grown on the Sacred Eucharist and that it is not a miracle. Yet, even though it is not a miracle, we still see the beauty of God in that He is still in that Eucharistic host even if it is not truly bleeding. The fact that it remained undissolved is a miracle enough for me. Eucharistic miracles are not required elements of our faith that we must believe to be Catholic; Eucharistic miracles are rare instances of God's glory shining forth. For me, though, the greatest miracle is in the consecration itself when bread and wine become Jesus Christ.
Do not doubt. In the words of St. Cyril of Jerusalem: "Since Christ Himself has said, 'This is My Body' who shall dare to doubt that It is His Body?"

You truly preach the Gospel! God Bless you! Thanks for sharing this picture as well.
Thank you for those kind words of encouragement.
God Bless you
i don't intend to cause an uproar here, but i do intend to warn you out of love. this "miracle" you speak of here is definitely a strange coincidence, especially after the discussion on horicon's blog partained to this. I also do not intend to call off all suspicion that this is in fact a valid miracle. Regardless of the validness of this "miracle", we all have to be weary about the occurrence. "miracles" such as this have happened throughout history, i don't deny that, but i do find very great danger in these miracles. I accept that miracles do happen today, but we have to remember that satan holds much power in this world. That is why i don't automatically assume this is a prank. Again, regardless of the validness, examine the purpose you believe this miracle served. Examine it deeply. Try and go past the fact that your church teaches the transformation of Jesus' body and blood in holy communion. The devil does perform "miracles" today, and the miracles from him are deceptive, they have an awesome outward appearance, but are really meant to harm, and in this instance, if this miracle is valid, i believe it is from the devil, because it is dangerously backing up a false doctrine that is being taught, this greatly troubled me when i came to your site and read this, i just want to warn you, the power of the devil is not to be praised, be very weary in occurences like this
The Bishop has ruled it out since the results of the lab test.

I had Eucharistic Adoration before the hosts involved with the Miracle of Luciano in Sienna last month -- I can't tell you how wonderful that was! You aren't allowed to take photos there, but you can purcahse a holy card with a picture.
You're doing a great job with this blog, Moneybags!
God bless you,
Jean
If this miracle brings greater love for Jesus in the Eucharist how can it be from the devil? I disagree.
i am only warning you that the devil is able to perform "miracles" today, he is powerful, and "miracles" like the one that supposedly occured but has since been undeclared, do support false doctrine, i will expand upon this later
The fact remains, even if this is a miracle or not, that the Sacred Host is Jesus Christ. I will continue to adore Jesus in the Eucharist each day, and I hope you will join me spiritually, Aaron.
Aaron, these pasts miracles prove that Jesus is in the Real Presence of the Eucharist. Do you believe this even though most lutherans do not?
Christ is present in the Eucharist regardless of whether we see Him or not. The Church is extremely cautious in making claims to "miracles" so as not to make any mistakes. Thank you, Moneybags, for the update and all of the information you provide here.
Aaron, what false doctrine are you talking about? The Eucharist is the center of our Faith. As K said, whether or not this is a miracle, Jesus remains in that Eucharistic Host and in all Eucharistic Hosts around the world.
I am a former Protestant minister who left my livelihood to join the Catholic Church {sorry if belabor that but I want to set my comment in context} specifically because of the veracity of the claim of Jesus Christ, body, blood, soul and divinity in the Eucharist. As I read this post and the comment exhange I am very grateful for two things. One is the truth already mentioned and I shall continue to love the Lord be nourished by him in the blessed Sacrament. The second is that I appreciate a Church that is careful, if seemingly to some to be slow and plodding, to verify true miracles; future saints are perfected in their holiness even as they face adversity of their own Church as she investigates claims of the miraculous for true saints are not affronted or thrwarted but served by a Church that seeks to glorify God, in part, by upholding truth and denouncing folly and foolery; the Church is served well when a miracle can be proclaimed as not hindering devotion to God; the world, if honest with itself, can see that the Church is not a liar and a fool and thus be open to the central message of the Gospel without distraction.
When I fisrt read the post I was about to comment, I would have been the second to comment but I held back. I was going to write with caution, if not in the precise words with which aaron has expressed himself certainly in the spirit of, well, a respectful caution for the reasons noted above.
In those fundagelical circles I recall going to the infamous Toronto Airport services {very reluctantly I might add} and had to wonder at the claims of gold fillings appearing in peoples teeth. I love the Catholic Church. I love the Sacraments that sign what they effect. Where true miracles occur and are verified, God be praced and may his grace in my life produce acts of mercy. Overall, I am cautious about sings and wonders and am reminded of Jesus words to a faithless generation.
It is good for you to have posted this and asked for verification. It is wonderful and I agree fully with those who have said, miracle or no, there is miracle enough in the Real Presence and I with these folk will continue to be devoted to our Lord in the Eucharist. I also think it is wise to exercise caution and am grateful for a Church that is careful to verify.
There is nothing false about the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist and so we would want no false miracle to deter from such a great truth.
Peace.
(I am a different "anonymous" from the one or two who posted above.)
Owen, as a "cradle Catholic" baptized almost 55 years ago, I must tell you that your way of approaching this is EXACTLY correct -- and I admire you for handling it better than many Catholics do.
When there is a report of a spiritual phenomenon, we must not get all excited and jump to a conclusion in either direction (total doubt or instant faith). The prudent things to do are (1) to keep quiet about it, (2) to resist the temptation to flock to the scene, and (3) to keep an open mind to whatever the local bishop tells us.
Moneybags, you need to avoid showing skepticism toward what the bishop told us. Through his ordination, he has a spelling vocation and graces to make these decisions.
You asked, "I want to know, though, how can fungi cause the Eucharist to bleed?"
You made an incorrect assumption -- that the Eucharist bled.
First, by the time the red color appeared, the Host (Jesus) had probably already ceased to have the character of bread -- and when that happens, the Real Presence disappears. It's similar to when we receive Communion. The sacramental Presence of Jesus remains only for several minutes, because the Host is digested and no longer looks like bread.
Second, the red color was not blood, but the color of the fungus (or the color of the byproduct of the fungus that acted upon the "accidents" of the consecrated bread).
YOU:Moneybags, you need to avoid showing skepticism toward what the bishop told us. Through his ordination, he has a spelling vocation and graces to make these decisions.
ME: I will show skepticism because I don't actually know this bishop. Perhaps he wanted to quiet things down so he just said there was no miracle.
Of course I will follow the Church, but I would feel more comfortable in being able to see these results for myself. I've heard from people that have gone to this Eucharistic host and they said they were overwhelmed with the Holy Spirit.
This is the last "anonymous" again.
Dear Moneybags,
I think that I recall reading that you have been a Catholic only since 2004. As I mentioned in my previous message, I am a "cradle Catholic" of almost 55 years. I also have studied the Catholic faith very intensely for over 20 years, and I have had 9 recent years with a regular hour in my parish's Perpetual Adoration chapel. I have seen many alleged spiritual phenomena come and go, so I know about the process of investigation and discernment that take place. Therefore, I ask you to trust me when I provide factual information and spiritual guidance to you. Please pray for the grace not get emotionally hurt and defensive when I correct you.
You wrote: "I will show skepticism because I don't actually know this bishop."
No. As a layman, we are not authorized to "show skepticism" toward a bishop's ruling. He is a successor of one of the Apostles. You and I are not. We may privately wonder if those who ran the tests may have erred, but we are not allowed publicly to be skeptical, because this can harm the bishop in the eyes of others.
You wrote: "Perhaps he wanted to quiet things down so he just said there was no miracle."
No bishop would do such a thing. You should pray for greater maturity and knowledge, so that you will not have such a childish thought (and especially pray not to post such things here).
You wrote: "Of course I will follow the Church, but I would feel more comfortable in being able to see these results for myself."
No. It is not our place to "see these results for" ourselves. Our place is to trust the bishop.
You wrote: "I've heard from people that have gone to this Eucharistic host and they said they were overwhelmed with the Holy Spirit."
I would be a very wealthy man if I had a dollar for every time I have heard this kind of thing expressed when an inauthentic alleged phenomenon has occurred.
Those "people" from whom you "heard" have no authority or ability to discern whether it was the "Holy Spirit" who "overwhelmed" them or something (or someone) else. The truth that you need to learn is that very many people have mental problems, causing to them to feel "overwhelmed." Others just have very sensitive emotions, so they feel "overwhelmed," not by the alleged phenomenon itself, but by their mere hope that it may be genuine. In other words, they "talk themselves into" believing in it. Finally, people of all kinds can be deceived into believing in alleged phenomena by satan himself. For all of the above reasons, you have a duty to disregard what those "people" have told you and to listen only to the bishop.
Anonymous,
I just wrote you a reply and realized how wrong I have been. I am sorry for my words before. Thank you for pointing this out to me.
Anonymous,
I am, however, saddened over your words on maturity. You don't know me - you don't know how mature I am. Saints are made at young ages as the Lord said of children, "The Kingdom of Heaven is of ones such as these."
I think I am very mature. I plan on becoming a priest. I am ask you not attack my maturity when you don't even know me.
