Proudly Entered the Catholic Church 2006

On April 15, 2006, at the Holy Easter Vigil, thousands of people will be received into the Catholic Church including several of our fellow Catholic bloggers. Many will receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation for the first time. I was there two years ago, so I ask everyone to please pray for and welcome these new Catholics. They have been journeying at least since last year all for this day - when they will be welcomed into the Church of Jesus Christ.

Some of these people I have known for quite a while. Others I have recently found their blogs, and yet others I have just found out about. Here are some of our new brothers and sisters in the Catholic Church.

New Catholics: Please save the above image on your computer and feel free display it on your blogs or websites. This is my present to all of you. Also, be sure to thank Owen of Luminous Miseries for designing this image for all of you. He is also a convert that entered the Church in January of this year.

  • June 29 Update: Today is the Solemnity of Sts. Peter and Paul. Today is also the day that Chadrack from Chad is Not Enough is entering the Church. Pray for him!
  • November 26 Update: Today is the Solemnity of Christ the King. Today is the day that MySaintPhilomena from CCF entered the Church. Please pray for this person!

I'm sure there are more people, so I apologize if I forgot to add you to the list. Please feel free to display that image though and display it on your blogs. If your name is not listed above and you will enter the Church this Saturday, please let me know.

Oh, Moneybags, thank you so much. This is so sweet! How good of you to provide this "roundup." I appreciate your prayers--and those of your readers--so much. I'll also be praying for the others being received into the Church this weekend.

It's good to be home (well...it will be good. Just three days to go!).

Moneybags,
Thank you very much for the welcome and the image!

One thing though...You wrote:
"has lived Angelican his entire life"

As much as I'd like to have been, I have been far from "Angelican" all my life (my parents can attest to the fact that I was no angel growing up).
I have however been "Anglican."
;-)

Thanks again for the welcome!

Dawn is Jewish and first became an evangelical before entering in the fulness of the faith.

Here blog is excellent. She does a great job of tracking and exposing Planned Parenthood and other abortion suppporters. Plus she writes the funniest headlines.

I'm also coming into the Church tomorrow. Sean and I used to attend the same Baptist church here in Louisville, although I never became a member because inside I was growing more curious about the Catholic faith and finally started pursuing it a year and a half ago. Like most everyone else, I've also got a little blog :) It's called Richest Man in Assisi.
