Proposition 73 is Back in California!
edit_button

Last year in the 2005 November Elections, a proposal for a parental-notification act for an abortion failed in California. California, being one of the most liberal and anti-life states, came surprisingly close to passing Proposition 73. It failed by a 52.6 percent to 47.4 percent vote.

Thankfully, Proposition 73 is back! Many people feel that Proposition 73 failed last year because it was one of the referendums supported by Gov. Schwarzenegger. Ever referendum supported by the Governor failed. Out of all of the proposals, Proposition 73 received the most votes.

Now Proposition 73 is back. The state has collected over 1 million signatures to put it on the ballot even though only 600,000 were needed. James Holman, the publisher of a San Diego weekly newspaper and several Catholic papers, has given $2.2 million to help this get on the ballot. This amount compares with the $1.1 million that he donated last year.

Planned Parenthood, in an effort to allow teenagers to murder their unborn children with a parent finding out, is trying to campaign to defeat Proposition 73.

Take action!

I am asking every reader of my blogs not only to pray for this proposal but for the life of the unborn in general. Life is being attacked today by contraception, abortion, embryonic stem cell research, and euthanasia. Let us unite and pray for the culture of life.

Confident in the power of the Holy Rosary, I am asking each of you to pray the Rosary just one day a week for life. Perhaps Friday is a good day to pray for you or perhaps it is Sunday when you are waiting for Mass to start. Please, just pray the Rosary once each week for life. I have read of numerous Rosary miracles in the past, and I am confident that our prayers could bring an end to abortion and attacks on the dignity of human life.

Moneybags, I was riding my bike by the church right by my house and on the sign it said "Join us for the Living Rosary May 26 6:15pm"

What is the 'Living' Rosary?

I am very young, and would probably be the only young one there... also, I'd have to go alone, would it seem strange?

Thanks,
God Bless

Anonymous,

I took part in a living Rosary before and it was wonderful. I wrote about it in the past:

Please let me know if this helps.

God Bless!
