Election Results: More Results Coming in...

It's 10:00 PM (Central Time) right now and I'm still hoping that pro-life candidates will win so that our country will put God and morality high. I have not heard any news about any moral issues except the early projection by CNN that the Virginia ban on gay marriage will succeed. I am extremely pleased with this. Gay marriage is a sin, and I'm strongly for such a ban.

In the country, it appears Democrats are gaining a lot of ground and will take control of the House of Representatives. But, the Catholic Church is not partisan. I don't vote by party but rather by issue - namely moral issues because it is a mortal sin to vote for a politician that supports abortion when there is a candidate that does not support it.

I am greatly sorrowed to hear that Senator Rick Santorum (R) of Pennyslavania is projected by CNN to lose to Casey (D). Casey like Senator Santorum will oppose abortion and embryonic stem cell research. Unfortunately, he supports emergency contraception, which is also a sin (source). Senator Santorum is an excellent politician, in my opinion, but a faithful Catholic, who took time to thank God in his concession speech. Let's be sure to say a prayer for Senator Santorum.

Thankfully, I am seeing a lot more pro-life Democrats in government like Ellsworth in Indiana, who is very pro-life and has won his race for the House of Representatives (source).

I was very sad to hear that Santorum lost as well.
