The Greatest Man in the History of the World

Jesus had no servants, yet they called Him Master.

Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher.

Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer.

He had no army, yet kings feared Him.

He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world.

He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him.

He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today.

I feel honored to serve such a Leader who loves us!

Matthew,

I love your blog! And this has nothing to do with your posting of the Greatest Man in the History of the World. But how does someone like myself address liturgical abuses in parishes that I visit? I am in the South and they all seem to do their own thing. I have found one that is perfect for us. But for the future I would love to know how to handle the Masses that are so disrespectful. Thanks, Nicole

Anonymous,

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you and all other new visitors will visit frequently,

To answer your question, yes, something must be done. I'm glad that you have at least found a reverent Mass. I suggest you write to the bishop of the diocese and inform him about the liturgical abuses. Before that, try and talk with the pastor. If the priest will not listen, try backing up your statements with Church documents from the Councils, Popes, or bishops. If he still won't change the liturgical abuses, contact the Bishop. If the bishop will not do anything, contact the Congregation for Divine Worship in Rome.

Here are some links that should help you. Thank you for defending the Sacred Liturgy.
