Update: Two new writers have just joined the blog and several more could possibly be joining. Please visit the blog and welcome them after reading their stories.
Besides responding to over a dozen long emails, I spent most of my time today blogging. In particular, I edited various aspects of my group blog, Holy Vocations. I changed the labels for each of the posts, and I also changed the pledge that I want each writer of the blog to accept. Here is the current version of the pledge:
All members of this blog are completely faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. We each pledge our loyalty and obedience to the Pope, the Vicar of Jesus Christ, and adhere to all the rules and regulations of the Catholic Faith, which have been taught and passed down to the Faithful through the past generations. We have read and support the Oath Against Modernism by Pope St. Pius X. All of us are spiritually united in our devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Eucharist, and the Communion of Saints. We pledge our lives to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I also spent time today writing a formal letter with Google Documents that I will have sent out to anyone that inquires about joining the vocations blog. Since I will not be able to blog while in the seminary, I wanted to create such a document now and just email it to people in the future. After some time describing the Pledge, the nature of the blog, the use of labels and the topic of each member's first post, I finished the document. I am still working on editing some of the sidebar links. If any reader ever finds a broken link at Holy Vocations or on this blog, please email me. I certainly want all such problems to be corrected in order to improve each blog's usability.
