Over the course of the past five weeks I have been in the process of uploading religious artwork to the lessons of CatechismClass.com. I have worked countless hours on that project over the course of the past three months which is the reason for the lack of posts on this blog. On July 1, 2010, I became the President and CEO of Catechismclass.com (http://www.catechismclass.com), and since then I have been working to launch the new website and new content. I will write more about my activities in this apostolate at a later time.
At this time, I simply wanted to make everyone aware of the beautiful paintings and religious artwork available on Wikigallery. I have used this site extensively for the religious images in the CatechismClass.com programs. As an example, look at the beautiful painting above at the top of this post. I was in awe by the beauty of this painting, and through my work, I found already found at least 100 beautiful images of artwork that I have never seen beforehand.
When you have a moment, search the site using Catholic keywords (e.g. Mass, Eucharist, Sacrament, Christ, our Lord, etc) and you will find a plethora of holy artwork that should be more widely spread throughout the Catholic Blogosphere.

Related to this, Gracewing published a beautiful book: The Catholic Priest, Image of Christ. It was published with the support of The Institute of Christ the Sovereign Priest at whose website you will find much more information.

Thank you for sharing, Mark! I will have to see if I can find a copy of that book. I love seeing such beautiful religious artwork (as you can probably tell by the fact that I always use images in my posts).
Congratulations on the new position. I really think your web site at acatholiclife is one of the more advanced sites in the blogesphere! Is this a custom site, since i typically don't see many embedded paypal type buttons on other sites.
Best of luck and i hope you continue on with this site.
