The only ones I don't go to are the wolves that seek to come and destroy God's flock. Christ came to heal the sinners and sick and those are also the ones we should go out towards: the lost sheep of the Kingdom.Matthewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07929374709032473716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-1120462173177976802005-07-04T02:29:00.000-05:002005-07-04T02:29:00.000-05:00That's a great quote from Mother Teresa. I was clicking the "Next Blog" button at the top of my blog, looking for anything of interest, and I found this community and wanted to post!Josh Seligmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13937962045490442947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-1120441464302788102005-07-03T20:44:00.000-05:002005-07-03T20:44:00.000-05:00Wondeful comment. (Blessed Mother Teresa)

With God dying on the Cross and helping the sick were the same. This is our mission: to love our God above all and our neighbor as ourselves.

Thanks for visiting. I think it's important to share ideas.

I've recently been understanding more of St. Francis' quote. I used to think that God only wanted us to share his love through street evangelism.

Someone told me that God is a creative God. I think I have been learning that he has given us each talents and gifts to use for him. I like to communicate through the arts. I think God has been showing me that he wants me to use these talents for sharing his love.

The problem I see with street evangelism is that it treats people as targets. How many saves did we get today? But when I look at Jesus, everything he did, everything he said was out of love. He probably didn't have the same conversation twice. I think love should be our goal. And maybe we can love people without preaching to them, and in doing so, we are still sharing the good news.

When Jesus went to towns sharing the gospel, he always said "The Kingdom of God is near." We are part of that kingdom. That kingdom is not seen, but people know us by our love for one another. And when we love - truly love, the way Jesus loves us - I think we are proclaiming the good news in the most pinnacle way.Josh Seligmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13937962045490442947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-1120438101812767612005-07-03T19:48:00.000-05:002005-07-03T19:48:00.000-05:00Just this post.
