I'm not saying that funds will only be used for the seminary. Some may be saved for the future if I were to switch seminaries or join a religious order.

I will be attending St. John Vianney Seminary this fall. Individual seminarian are never asked to shoulder their costs. Having said that there will be appeals for donations for vocations in all Churches during the Sunday masses for all seminarians but never for an individual during the year and thats where all the faithful make their contributions. If you start to allow donations through paypal etc for an individual, then there is a danger of abuse by unscrupulous elements who will exploit our fellow human beings especially our fellow Catholics. Just for my info, which seminary are you attending?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01986658081578362024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-81054487409078193492007-06-18T20:50:00.000-05:002007-06-18T20:50:00.000-05:00It sounds reasonable to me. I have thought of doing the same thing with my blog because of my family's difficult financial situation and the amount of time I spend working on it daily - 3 -5 hours per day. It is my apostolate.

If people have the money to donate to your blog, then why not?
