The SSPX announcement has supported the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus according to Fr.Leonard Feeney and the St. Benedict Center. The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary have always been saying that there is no baptism of desire.

They mean there is no 'explicit' or implicit baptism of desire which contradicts the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Now the SSPX communique has reaffirmed their faith in the Catholic Church and the dogma and also clarified that there is no ‘… possibility to find the means leading to salvation’ outside the Church. There is no possibility of being saved with the baptism of desire. There is no possibility of being saved with a good conscience outside the visible Church. There is no possibility of being saved in invincible ignnorance in 2012 for all those who do not have Catholic Faith and the baptism of desire. There is no possibility of being saved in the present times with the 'seeds of the Word'.

Why ? When the Church Fathers and the popes say there is a possibility of being saved in these conditions do they say there is no possibility?

There is no possibility of being saved in the present time, for all on earth presently with the baptism of desire.Since we do not know any such case. The ordinary means of salvation is Catholic Faith and the baptism of water. The dogma and the Bible says all must convert into the Church for salvation.

So there is no possibility of being saved in the present time, for all on earth presently with a good conscience since we do not know any such case and so cannot claim that any one in particular is going to Heaven with a good conscience.

Only God can know who has the baptism of desire or a good conscience and is saved.

So assuming that there can be people on earth in the present time, 2012 with the baptism of desire etc is wrong.

So when the Church Fathers and the popes mention those who can be saved in invincible ignorance etc these are possibilities unknown to us and known only to God. So in principle we can accept that a person can be saved in this condition. In reality, defacto, when I meet a non Catholic, in the present times, in 2012 I do not and cannot know any such case.-Lionel Andrades

1.
1) Do we personally know the dead saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience (LG 16) etc ?
2) Since we do not know any of these cases, there are no known exceptions to the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ?

If the Letter of the Holy Office made a mistake to assume that those saved with implicit desire etc are explicit exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus then an injustice was done to Fr.Leonard Feeney. SSPX, SLAVES OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY SAY THERE ARE 'NO EXCEPTIONS'
On the Archdiocese of Boston website no one is willing to respond to two questions asked of them in the com box available for comments and questions.

The Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) Communique has stated that there are no exceptions to the literal interpretation of the thrice defined dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and there is no comment from the Archdiocese of Boston which once placed sanctions on one of its priests for saying there were no exceptions.

The SSPX like the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Fr.Leonard Feeney's communities, are saying clearly that there are no exceptions to the dogma on outside the church there is no salvation.

There is no known case of a non Catholic being saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience, implicit desire, imperfect communion with the Church, seeds of the Word etc.

So the Archdiocese has been asked if they know anyone saved with the baptism of desire etc. They will not answer.

There silence seems a cover up of an injustice done to Fr.Leonard Feeney a priest of their Archdiocese.

If the baptism of desire is not visible how could Cardinal Richard Cushing , the Archbishop of Boston claim that it was an exception to the dogma ?-Lionel AndradesCatholic Missionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06025127342963192930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-86141126546020217852012-07-20T09:56:44.172-05:002012-07-20T09:56:44.172-05:00‘…nor possibility to find the means leading to sal...‘…nor possibility to find the means leading to salvation’ is the all important line in the SSPX communiqué

The Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) has in the past been affirming the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus but at the same time would say invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are exceptions. This was the confusion in their doctrinal position.

So they were not in agreement with tradition (how can the dogma have explicit exceptions?) and neither were they in accord with Vatican Council II.

Now their communiqué has reaffirmed their faith in the Catholic Church and the dogma and also clarified that there is no‘… possibility to find the means leading to salvation’ outside the Church.

They are saying like Vatican Council II that all non Catholics need to enter the Church with Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation and there are no known exceptions (1) ; Lumen Gentium 16 and Lumen Gentium 8 are not explicit exceptions to the dogma on exclusive salvation and neither are they exceptions to Ad Gentes 7.

In the liberal version of Vatican Council II, which the SSPX rejects in the communiqué, LG 16 and LG 8 are considered explicit and known to us. Hence they presume that LG 16 and LG 8 contradict AG 7 and the dogma defined three times (2).

With the SSPX clarification the liberals cannot cite LG 16 or LG 8 as exceptions to the interpretation of the salvation dogma. They do not any more have citations from Vatican Council II.So there intrpretation is not one of continuity but a rupture.

The SSPX can cite AG 7 supporting their view of Vatican Council II and there are no exceptions in the Council texts.

There is only one interpretation of Vatican Council II with citations and it is the SSPX one. It has the hermeneutic of continuity-Lionel Andrades

1.
Therefore, all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door.-Ad Gentes 7,Vatican Council II
2.
http://catholicism.org/category/outside-the-church-there-is-no-salvationCatholic Missionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06025127342963192930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-42005337670668948112012-07-20T09:55:36.546-05:002012-07-20T09:55:36.546-05:00SSPX, ECCLESIA DEI ASK THE PAULIST FATHERS AND THE...SSPX, ECCLESIA DEI ASK THE PAULIST FATHERS AND THE CHURCH OF SANTA SUSSANA ROME TO AFFIRM VATICAN COUNCIL II WITH CITATIONS

Father Gregory Apparcel the Rector of the Church of Santa Sussana Rome has in a homily said that he rejects the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus since Vatican Council II contradicts it.

Father Greg an American Paulist Father assumes Vatican Council II mentions explicit exceptions to the dogma on salvation.

The Paulist Fathers also believe that since there are explicit exceptions, the Church teaches a ‘theology of religions’.

In inter- religious dialogue they say the focus must be on God the Father even if it excludes Jesus according to their website. This is the result of their interpretation and acceptance of Vatican Council II.

The SSPX affirms the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and is supported by Vatican Council II (AG 7). LG 16 on invincible ignorance and a good conscience does not contradict the dogma since we do not personally know any of these cases saved. So LG 16 cannot be cited by the Paulist Fathers to reject the dogma.

Since Ad Gentes 7 says all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation this is a rejection by Vatican Council II of ‘the theology of religions’.

The Paulist Fathers need to be asked to provide citations from Vatican Council II to support their liberal and heretical doctrinal positions and the claim that they accept Vatican Council II.-Lionel Andrades

PAULISTS FATHERS’ ORDINATION OF PRIESTS CONSIDERED ‘LICIT’
http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.it/2011/07/paulists-fathers-ordination-of-priests.html#links

ECCLESIA DEI WHY DOES THE SSPX HAVE TO ACCEPT VATICAN COUNCIL II, THE CATECHISM OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH WHILE THE PAULIST FATHERS ARE EXEMPTED ?
http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.it/2010/09/ecclesia-dei-why-does-sspx-have-to.html#linksCatholic Missionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06025127342963192930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-84559918302817467772012-07-20T03:15:13.197-05:002012-07-20T03:15:13.197-05:00Thursday, July 19, 2012
THE SOCIETY OF ST.PIUS X H...Thursday, July 19, 2012
THE SOCIETY OF ST.PIUS X HAS ACCEPTED VATICAN COUNCIL II IN ACCORD WITH TRADITION AND HAS REJECTED THE LIBERAL VERSION
The Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) has accepted Vatican Council II in accord with the literal interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (1) in harmony with Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II. They have endorsed Vatican Council II according to Sacred Tradition. They can also cite reference texts from Vatican Council II to support their doctrinal position.

They have rejected, as in the past, the liberal version of Vatican Council (2) whose adherents cannot cite any texts to support their interpretation which is a break, a rupture with tradition and magisterial documents.

The SSPX is finally in a position to point out to their adversaries that there can be only one interpretation of the Council which can be supported by tradition. In this one interpretation AG 7 supports the dogma on exclusive salvation and LG 16 and LG 8 etc are not known exceptions to the dogma.

The SSPX has stated clearly that they have ‘ faith in the Roman Catholic Church, the only Church founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ, outside of which there is no salvation and no possibility of finding the means that lead to it’.

There is no salvation outside the Church (Cantate Domino, Council of Florence 1441, Vatican Council II (AG 7) etc) and that outside the Church there is even ‘no possibility of finding the means that lead to it’ i.e those saved in invincible ignorance , a good conscience etc are accepted as possibilities known only to God and not possibilities which contradict the dogma on salvation, since these possibilities are not explicit for us. They are unknown to us humans.

As for the liberal interpretation of Vatican Council II which is a rupture from the past the SSPX rejects ‘all the novelties of the Second Vatican Council that remain tainted with errors’ e.g theology of religions etc which are opposed by Vatican Council II (AG 7).

They accept the Council and ‘the Society can only continue to abide by the statements and teachings of the constant Magisterium of the Church;’ which is in agreement with the Council and in accord with Tradition. It carries the hermeneutic of continuity. The SSPX ‘ finds its guide in this uninterrupted Magisterium which, by its act of teaching, transmits the revealed deposit in perfect harmony with all that the whole Church has always believed, in every place’ and which is in agreement with Vatican Council II.--Lionel Andrades
__________________________________________

1.

This is why its seems to us opportune to reaffirm our faith in the Roman Catholic Church, the only Church founded by Our Lord Jesus Christ, outside of which there is no salvation and no possibility of finding the means that lead to it; in its monarchical constitution, willed by Our Lord, which means that the supreme power of governance over the whole Church belongs to the pope alone, the Vicar of Christ on earth; in the universal kingship of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the creator of the natural and supernatural order, to whom every human being and all society must submit.

2.
As for all the novelties of the Second Vatican Council that remain tainted with errors, and as for the reforms that have resulted from them, the Society can only continue to abide by the statements and teachings of the constant Magisterium of the Church; it finds its guide in this uninterrupted Magisterium which, by its act of teaching, transmits the revealed deposit in perfect harmony with all that the whole Church has always believed, in every place.
-Rome-SSPX: Declaration of the General Chapter of the Society of Saint Pius X sent to the Holy See

As announced in the press communiqué of the Society of St. Pius X’s General House on July 14, 2012, the members of the General Chapter sent a common statement to Rome. It has been published today.
http://rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/

http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.it/2012/07/the-society-of-stpius-x-has-accepted.html#linksCatholic Missionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06025127342963192930noreply@blogger.com
