Vatican makes statement on Communion

October 2005 Update: The Synod on the Eucharist has concluded

The Vatican is currently working on a report (currently 85 pages) on how to counter abuses to the Eucharist. This report is due out in October, but the report does criticize both divorcees and Catholic politicians that support abortion while continuing to receive the Blessed Sacrament - literally Our Lord's Body and Blood.

I firmly believe that the Holy Eucharist IS Jesus Christ, so only those in full agreement with the firm truths of the Catholic Church should receive Our Lord.

Let us pray that Jesus Christ will be adored and love with grateful affection at every moment in all of the tabernacles of the world from now until the end of time through Christ Our Lord. Amen

hi,
Great Blog to start with. You are a very young seminarian and start already to preach via the Web, BRAVO! May Mary help You during your holly journey to become a Real man of God to His Service. Now regarding Communion, i am always "amazed" the number of faithfull who actually go to communion at mass. I know, myself, that it is serious sin to go to communion while being into Mortal sin state. Regarding the state of the world today, sorry but i think it is very likely that some mass-goer are actually in this state and so do a sacrilege going to communion without been to confession first. I don't believe all the faithfull attending mass and going to communion are in pure state of grace. The bishops should remind this to the faithfull, but they don't. WHY ?????
God bless
