Zenit: Abortions & Down Syndrome, Pope Benedict XVI on Human Embryo
edit_button

The other day, Zenit published two very good articles. The first entitled "Down Syndrome and the Pressure to Abort". The sad reality is that 80% of all Down Syndrome diagnosed children are aborted before they are ever born. Just because a child has a medical condition does not mean they should not be given the opportunity to live life and become baptized.

The Second article is Pope Benedict XVI's address on the Human Embryo.

I found this line touching: "God's love does not differentiate between the newly conceived infant still in his or her mother's womb and the child or young person, or the adult and the elderly person. God does not distinguish between them because he sees an impression of his own image and likeness (Genesis 1:26) in each one."
