Archbishop of Canterbury: No plans to reunite

In an update to my post, Anglican Church May Reunite With Rome, it appears that there are no plans to reunite according to the Archbishop of Canterbury.

I 'like' Reuters final point that Catholic churches come under the 'hierarchy' of the Pope whilst Anglicans retain supposed autonomy with the focal point of Canterbury. In my experience in the UK, the more 'free' a church states itself to be, the more authoritarian it is in practice. There is no other church nor church leaders more free than the Catholic. Yet the lazy stereotyping continues...
