I have learned so much from his blog--not about him but about the church. Yes, he does sometimes post things about himself--but this is a blog( a Catholic blog )...

(Main Entry: blog

Part of Speech: noun

Definition: an online diary; a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a Web page; also called Weblog, Web log

Example: Typically updated daily, blogs often reflect the personality of the author.)
______

99% (or more) of the stuff Moneybags writes on here is centered on the Church and not on Moneybags. Thank you Moneybags, I've learned ALOT.

It seems to me as though you come on here to put Moneybags down, and I most certainly know that is not what
Christ taught us to do.

I honestly think that the other anonymous who identified themselves as another person is the same person.

God Bless you Moneybags. My prayers are with anonymous as well as you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-1159306375745291762006-09-26T16:32:00.000-05:002006-09-26T16:32:00.000-05:00Please be advised that I have contacted the archdi...Please be advised that I have contacted the archdiocese of Chicago and advised them to review printouts from your website regarding comments you have made pertaining to Bishop Flynn and also your manner of generally conducting yourself on the site. I have been relaibly advised that the archdiocese has little interest in what lay Catholics write or publish, unless it becomes abusive to church teaching, especially since there is a first amendment. However, once a person applies for a seat in a seminary, ANY SEMINARY, they automatically place themselves under the authority of the Church as it regards issues of obedience and character. First, I believe that positions you have taken and comments you have made regarding Archbishop Flynn are disrespectful and not in keeping with the standards that a future priest should aspire. Second, your attitudes evidence a status of immaturity that needs to be addressed.

I am acutely aware that you have, as a lay person, a right to be controversial. However, your comments as described above are inappropriate for anyone who seeks ordination. Your decision to seek holy office must come first and as a fellow Catholic, I am very concerned that your comments about the archbishop and your treatment of issues on the website evidence problems with obedience and authority.

For these reasons, I have respectfully asked the archdiocese to candidly and compassionately review your comments about the archbishop and your general comments regarding the liturgy, and the role of priests as a whole. I have also commented to the archdiocese that I feel you have issues due to immaturity rather than a failure to be obedient to the Church.

I can only suggest now that you take a deep breath and decide whether to keep fighting about these issues or simply stop what you are doing.

I am acutely and painfully aware of how badly we need priests in our Church. However, as i have commented to the archdiocese, anyone with this kind of glib disrespect for others has basic and serious issues with authority and managing his emotions. I hope you can appreciate the fact that our church has suffered enough embarassment from priests who should never have been ordained and who obviously had issues coming into their office that should have been spotted and dealt with. Whatever decisions are made about you in the future willbe based on what you have written (copies already provided to the diocese) so don't blame me or anyone else for your mistakes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-1159234405753009802006-09-25T20:33:00.000-05:002006-09-25T20:33:00.000-05:00You also say I talk in circles. And, yes, I do think it would be safer for my family if I reveal my name later on.

I have no idea why you say I am "full of myself" when I just teach what the Church teaches and answer comments directed towards me.

Again, it is an anonymous commentor posting attacking comments. Figures.

I'll be here in a year defending the Church and continuing to spread the Gospel of Christ. So someone disagreed with you and your friends about your comments? Is that any reason for all the comments I see? Anyhow, I get your fear about posting your name, but your comment is pretty weak when you won't even mention your diocese. And lastly, is the issue going to somehow be different once you are ordained? Will you be somehow safer then than you are now? I don't know much about you and your buddies on this site but I know a BS story when I hear one. I was starting to think the guy or woman making all the string comments was way out of line, but they may have a point. You do talk in circles and you sound silly in doing it. Oh well, I don't care much myself. Everyone who has been around the Catholic church has seen guys like you and Mr. strong words come and go. I wish you luck on becoming a priest but I see a lot of rocky roads ahead.

Oh by the way, before you and your gang start getting on me for my comment here, just remember that all of your online friends aren't going to be able to help you once you get into the seminary and start shooting off your mouth. In the seminary, everyone acts like you to start with. Until they get bad grades, bad reviews, find a girlfriend, get bored, drink too much, etc. Don't think these things don't happen. They do, all the time and you are wrong if you don't think they do. and I know about it first hand for all your online buddies too. One of my close cousins was in semainary for several years and he sounded just like you when he went in. All full of himself and a real know it all. Ask me (or him) where he is today. So don't laugh too hard about your buddy that is giving you a bad way to go know. He may know things you don't because you and your buddies on your site haven't been around long enough to see it. But you will if you make it to a seminary.

Good luck on your site. I'll check back in in a year and see if you are still around.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13804788.post-1159206700000231062006-09-25T12:51:00.000-05:002006-09-25T12:51:00.000-05:00I have absolutely no problem with what you are wri...I have absolutely no problem with what you are writing and support you 100%.

The church needs more people like you.

And when I found out your approx. age I was suprised...I thought you are very knowledgeable and together for someone that age.
