Countries Which Currently Permit Abortion

According to this Abortion Facts :

"54 countries allow abortion, which is about 61 percent of the world population. 97 countries, about 39 percent of the population, have abortion laws that make it illegal according to the pro-abortion Center for Reproductive Law and Policy in New York."

Some countries that have outlawed abortion include Poland, Peru, Mexico, and Brazil. The map above shows the general picture of abortion laws around the world.

Hindi-nagpakilala ayon kay ...

One of the most frightening things about the New Religion (which is what I call our secular humanist society's (non-)belief system) is the zeal with which it seeks to propagate itself throughout the world.

The supposedly non-religious, tolerant, inclusive people who run Europe, Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand... pretty much all of the "green" countries on that abortion map... are horrified by countries that haven't fallen into lock-step on women's equality, abortion, minority rights, etc.

Here are people who claim to be religion-neutral working like the Dickens to ram their social philosophy down everyone else'e collective throat. I'm sorry, but when a non-religion adopts certain tenets as beyond question and then gets all imperialist about them, it becomes a religion, in my opinion.

These are the same people who attach Catholics in particular (and Christians in general) over their indoctrination of Native Americans and the horrors of the Native Residential schools here in Canada... and then turn around and, via the U.N. among other bodies... seek to spread their "truth" to unwilling nations via economic coercion and lobbying. They have not yet reached the level of sending missionaries and erecting "re-education camps," but I doubt that is far behind.

If they say to Catholics, "Who are you to tell us how marriage should be defined in Canada?" then I must ask in turn, "Who are you, then, to tell other countries that do not share our culture that women and men must be equal, freedom trumps morality, and that they must allow abortion?"

Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.

I would agree and a false religion too.

Too bad it seems those green countries have some much and do so little. For example, the G-8 summit is ongoing now, and I only pray for greater aid to Africa.
