Virtual Tour: National Shrine of St. John Neumann

Please excuse the delay in recent posts as I have been traveling across much of the country this past week.  I was able to stop by the National Shrine of St. John Neumann, at which I shrine I saw the body of St. Neumann

Below is a series of photographs from that Shrine:

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing with us. One of the things I want to do "someday" is get in the car and drive the back roads stopping at old churches, shrines, and small-town museums to see all that stuff that doesn't make big-time guide books

I want to go along with RAnn. Thanks for those great photos. Wish I could visit that shrine in person.

Is there a wax encasement around St. John Neumann's body?

The body of the saint lies in a glass-enclosed reliquary under the main altar. It is dressed in the episcopal vestments with a mask covering the face.
