According to Wisconsin Right to Life Executive Director Barbara Lyons, "The drug is known to cause devastating consequences such as blot clots and stroke. It is simply irresponsible to sell it to women without any physician oversight whatsoever." Kimberly Zenarolla, executive vice president of the National Pro-Life Action Center said the following:
“Today’s decision by the FDA shows a flagrant disregard for the health and safety of women, young girls and their innocent, unborn children. This decision smacks of the same politically-driven mentality that brought about the questionable approval of RU-486 during the Clinton administration. That decision has cost the lives on countless unborn children and the lives of several unsuspecting women who used the drug. Tragically, the Bush administration appears poised to follow in the same destructive footsteps as its predecessor.

This made me so sad when I heard this on the radio today. Its so irresponsible to approve this abortion pill to be OVER THE COUNTER!! I just can't believe it...
I can't believe it either. I didn't see that coming... the pendulum must've really swung a left hook!
I am so upset - this is NOT contraception - it is ABORTION. I can't imagine the Lord's sorrow today.
I have been blogging on this for the last month, wrote President Bush at the beginning of Sept., called the White House comment line, and have spread the word about this. Today, I wrote my congressmen in Washington requesting that they take action to remove this dangerous drug from the market and oust the acting FDA Director who approved this for his own personal advancement in exchange for the lives of babies and mothers. This sickens me. I am going to continue praying about this and listening to God's voice to determine His will in this. How many babies and women have to die before our leaders see the light?
