These prayers are certainly appropriate for the Feast of St. Monica (May 4th), the Feast of St. Augustine (August 28th), or any day!
Prayer Option 1:
Dear St. Monica, troubled wife and mother, many sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime. Yet, you never despaired or lost faith.With confidence, persistence, and profound faith, you prayed daily for the conversion of your beloved husband, Patricius, and your beloved son, Augustine; your prayers were answered. Grant me that same fortitude, patience, and trust in the Lord. Intercede for me, dear St. Monica, that God may favorably hear my plea for (mention request here...) and grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things, through Jesus Christ, our Lord, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Pray for us, that following thy example and that of all God's children, we may at length enjoy the eternal vision of our Father in heaven. Amen.

Dear St Monica, my heart is full of anxieties over my son Jordan. I pray that St Monica, you will intercede for me to our Lord Jesus Christ to bring him back to reality and that he need to focus on his studies more ardently. My heart feel stressed when I see him living in a world of fantasy and lost his priority in life. I truly pray that in the Lord's time and mercy, He will be able to help my son to be a more responsible person, so that my stress over him will not effect anyone in the family. I pray that our good Lord will give me the strength to handle all anxieties so that the running of the family affairs will be carried out smoothly and peacefully. With all my sinfulness, I pray that our Lord Jesus will have pity on me and be merciful for all my short comings...I pray all these in Jesus mighty name! Amen

Just praying for my husband to open his eyes and stop being so angry and disappointed about everything. I pray for him to just surrender to God and try Forgiveness. His cup is always half empty. Dear Saint Monica my daughter needs intervention for cure of her multiple addictions. We cannot talk to her. She becomes angry and defensive. She needs to set good examples for her daughter. I am afraid her daughter will choose her mother's ways. My grandaughter has said she lives in a devil house. She is only 12. They both need prayers. My daughter had her daughter out of wedlock and there is no father involved in my granddaughter's life. As grandparents there is only so much we can do. I am trying to keep communication open between my granddaughter and myself. At times I feel I am losing her too.
