Bishop Sartain appears to be a wonderful man, and I'm extremely happy that Illinois has this good bishop now. Bishop Sartain was previously the Bishop of Little Rock since 2000. In Little Rock he allowed four Tridentine Masses. Right now the Diocese of Joliet has zero, so please pray that the people there will be able to experience the Tridentine Mass. Please pray for Bishop J. Peter Sartain as he leads his 600,000 member flock.

I love him already. We in the Joliet diocese are hopeful that our new shepherd, his Excellency, Bishop Sartain, will make widely available the Tridentine Mass.
What a relief that Imesch it out!
I rejoice with you, MB. I read his previous columns and his love of fishing and being a shepherd of people. I was amazed that his former diocese of Little Rock (how many Catholics?) has 4 Tridentine masses. That's great!
Sartan is amazing -- he's from Memphis, and even people who never belonged to his parish still miss him here. He'll have a red hat some day.
