Today is the first day of the Novena to Our Lady of Czetochowa leading up to the feastday on August 26th. This is primarily posted for my Polish readers and those of Polish descent, since the Polish people, like Pope John Paul ll, have a great devotion to Mary under the title of Our Lady of Czetochowa.
The Novena and the information concerning Our Lady of Czestochowa are available through the website of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czetochowa in Pennsylvania, USA. Please visit that website for each day of this Novena. During this modern era, we can never have too much devotion to Mary! Remember, devotion to the Blessed Mother always leads to Jesus Christ!

To believe in anything with such blind faith as is required by the Catholic Church is to hide yourself from the reality of the world around you. Religious people live in a protective shell, pretending outdated principles still apply to modern day living when they couldn't be further from the truth. Religion has no place in a future world where logic and common sense need to take precedence over something that cannot even be proved as fact. Modern day issues need modern answers, not some feeble morals that weren't even taht effective in a more barbaric and less globalised world.
You faith ultimately only hinders you, not helps you. Open your mind, and maybe you could finally see that.
Everything you just wrote is a lie. Open your mind and believe. The only way for the world to be liberated from evil is through Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church. This blog is not a place to spread such lies.
Although we (MB & I) disagree on some very poignant and important issues regarding the faith that was once for all handed down to the saints (Jude 3), I totally agree that the only way to be saved is through Jesus Christ. I would bet that this anonymous commenter (very bold of you to actually hide your name, too) comes from someone who holds to evolution. Just a guess. A great modern preacher, the Late Adrian Rogers, made the comment that when we talk of a frog turning into a prince during story-time in a classroom, it’s called a fairy tale. But, we talk about the same thing later on, frogs turning to princes, the teacher then calls it science. Frogs don't become princes...except in a fairy tale. Evolution is bankrupt.
BTW – MB, I responded to your comment where you pointed me to an article on the assumption of Mary.
Love the blog...we just put a link to it on our own blog!

Leo,
Disagreeing is fine. Everyone is bound to disagree on something. But why would you say I am indifferent? I am here not to make friends or talk about the nice things in life. I'm here to proclaim the truth of the Catholic faith. That's why I'm here.
