In both 2006 and 2007 I have helped facilitate a Saint for the Year Devotion, by which participants have a saint chosen for them for the year. It is a devotional activity and each person is asked to pray to the saint in a special way throughout the year. For more information on this devotion, which even St. Faustina participated in, please visit my 2007 Saint for the Year Post. This year I was chosen by St. Julius, feast day on April 12!
This year, however, since I am in seminary, I do not have the time to continue the Saint for the Year Devotion. However, if you would like a special 2008 Patron Saint, please contact Marianne (mare54n@bellsouth.net) because she is the person drawing the saints. She was the one that has drawn the saints for the past two years, and this year, since I am in seminary, I will not be able to help distribute saints on my blog like I did in years past. However, she is still very excited about the devotion and still able to draw saints. Please do not comment and ask for a saint on this post - contact her directly through her email.
