Octave Day of the Epiphany, when we recall the Baptism of Christ, it is especially appropriate for us to remember the importance of our own Baptism anniversary. Do you know it? Is it on your calendar? Do you mark the day in much joy and celebration (as long as it is not during a season of penance such as Lent)? Do you renew your Baptismal promises on that anniversary?
"I think more of the place where I was baptized than of Rheims Cathedral where I was crowned. It is a greater thing to be a child of God than to be the ruler of a Kingdom. This last I shall lose at death but the other will be my passport to an everlasting glory." (St. Louis IX, King of France)
