I have just received an urgent and grave request for prayers. A family is going through an extremely difficult time. Please say a prayer for them. Respecting their wishes, I will not go into detail on their problems; however, I do ask all of my readers to please pray for them.

I'm just starting my RCIA classes. How does one pray for people we don't know, and don't know their names and don't know anything except: I read on a blog that some people have an urgent and grave need?
I don't understand this. I will be happy to pray for them, but I don't know how to handle this. Please excuse my ignorance.
Simply ask God to guard/protect/guide them. God knows their name and needs.
