Vatican Official Acknowledges Liturgical Crisis

Feb. 23, 2007 (CWNews.com) - In an unusually candid conversation with the monthly Inside the Vatican, the secretary of the Vatican’s Congregation for Divine Worship concedes that liturgical reform after Vatican II “has not been able to achieve the expected goals,” and indicates that Pope Benedict XVI is determined to address the crisis in Catholic liturgy.

In a lengthy interview, Archbishop Albert Malcom Ranjith Patabendige Don told the Inside the Vatican that a revival of the Catholic liturgy is essential to counteract the decline in practice among the faithful, particularly in the Western world.

I am in a large Catholic church. But I am continually surprised by the extremely small core of committed Christians IN ALL Churches of all Christian Faiths. The same people day after day week after week show up and make an effort to work in charity, study the Bible, they carry the Faith for all. I find it extremely troubling that "The Secret" is even infiltrating the church. Christians don't know the difference! There is no worship of GOD or Jesus in "The Secret". The devil seems to be answering his call for greed, power and lust. And it is world wide! Is this the false church?

The Catholic Church remains the Church of Jesus Christ even though there are many wolves among the sheep.
