Beatification soon for 250 Spanish Civil War Martyrs

Valencia, Jun. 12, 2008 (CWNews.com) - The Spanish financial newspaper La Gaceta de los Negocios reports that the Vatican has given the green light to the beatification of 250 Spaniards martyred in Valencia during Spain's Civil War. The Vatican has not issued any formal announcement.

Valencia's Cardinal Agustin Garcia-Gasco opened the cause in 2004 for 183 priests, 10 religious, and 57 laymen, including a woman who was 9 months pregnant, who was asked her captors to let her give birth to her child so that she could baptize him but sadly her request was denied. In 2001, John Paul II beatified 226 other Valencian martyrs of the Spanish Civil War.

Matthew, God bless you!!! I will be praying for you and your vocation!!! We need priests like you! I am old school orthodox Catholic too. You have my prayers, brother!

By the way, for the past 3 years every vocational director with which I spoke told me I was too old to begin the training. However, this morning, I received an email from the Marians of the Immaculate Conception and they say my age is NOT a problem! So, I scheduled a priesthood vocational retreat for November 14-16. Please pray for me! I am already praying for you!!!

Also, I put your essay on the Necessity of Confession on my website. I hope you don't mind! I believe confession is vitally important. My website is http://www.geocities.com/ink71565

God bless you brother!

Mark:

Greetings on the 1st Class Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul.

Firstly, thank you for spreading my message on the Necessity of the Sacrament of Confession. If possible, please include a link to my original post on your website as well. It would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, why are you considering the Marians of the Immaculate Conception? I suggest you choose a religious order that solely offers the Tridentine Latin Mass, the Mass of the Ages - the Mass of our Ancestors and the Saints. Everything from the ritual of the Mass to the people that attend it to the atmosphere at the parish, it is all holy! We need priests who will continue to spread our Lord Jesus Christ's reign in the Traditional Latin Mass. Please consider this call.

Please consider the following:

Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter(FSSP), the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest (ICRSS) and the Personal Apostolic Administration of Saint John Mary Vianney (PAASJV). In addition, please consider the Priestly Society of St. Pius X (SSPX).
