O God, Thou didst raise Thy servant, N., to the sacred priesthood of Jesus Christ, according to the Order of Melchisedech, giving him the sublime power to offer the Eternal Sacrifice, to bring the Body and Blood of Thy Son Jesus Christ down upon the altar, and to absolve the sins of men in Thine own Holy Name. We beseech Thee to reward his faithfulness and to forget his faults, admitting him speedily into Thy Holy Presence, there to enjoy forever the recompense of his labors. This we ask through Jesus Christ Thy Son, our Lord. Amen.

Hi could someone please post, post communion prayer for deceased priest.
Anonymous:
Here is the prayer: "O Lord, may Thy mercies, which we implore, avail Thy Priest(s) departed. In Thee he/they believed: may he/they, in Thy mercy, be united to Thee for evermore. Through our Lord."
Yesterday morning my parish priest died. While I do not hold all of the faith that I should, I did learn from his teachings.
I'm curious, is it wrong that I prioritize Father Bechard needs over my church's needs. The Diocese only kept it open as long as Father was around. And now that he's gone I think that time should be spent on him and not the church. None of the priests that have been coming around even know Father.
