I want to make it clear that I am here to blog for Jesus Christ. I will not be deterred when people say I am "indifferent" or claim that Catholicism serves no purpose for the modern world. I tell you, as one that has received the Holy Eucharist, God is real and if the whole world would bow down just for one minute and adore him, death and destruction would end.
I am here not to present politically correct messages or try to increase in popularity. I am here to post prayers. I am here to provide news relating to Catholicism. I am here to provide good, informative posts on the Sacred Traditions and teachings of the Faith. Above all, I am here to be a witness in the dark abyss of our world. Although I am a sinner, I am here to help spread the reign of Jesus Christ so that everyone that reads this blog will not only accept Jesus but His Catholic Church.
So, please be charitable in all of your comments on this blog. Let us do all things in love!
Thank you and God Bless!

I think this is one of the best blogs that serve as a great resource of Catholic prayers, teachings of the Church and spiritual devotion. Please keep up the great work! Thank you for the work that you do serving our Lord. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
Peace
The above comment say it all. Your blog is the best I have seen on Catholicism . I appreciate all your hard work.
The devil is always lurking , but Mary crushed his head and Jesus will be with us till the end of time.
I would just ignore the comments that you disagree with. The cahnces of any of your comments from your ever reaching the vicars or superiors at any of the Catholic seminaries in your area like Mundelein, St. Joes, Quigley, or the or the others is very small. I am sure they would understand that you meant well and that you were just trying your best to discern a vocation. Good luck.
I'm sorry you received those kind of comments.
I really love your blog and I see that you're doing a great work of evangelization. Sometimes we need to understand and accept the challenges and persecutions we will face when we try to evangelize. You're a faithful servant to the Church and we need more of those so keep up the good work!
Totus Tuus,
Katerina
Keep up the good work, MB. Keep speaking the truth in love.
You have such a wonderful blog, and I'm saddened that people would post comments such as those here. They seem to have never heard the Greatest Commandment (Love thy neighbor as yourself) nor did their parents ever tell them that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.
Keep up the good work, I very much enjoy reading your blog and hearing about the good things in the Church.
I am glad to know that so many of the posters on this site are so much more concerned about my constructive criticism rather than what led to it, ie. disingenuity from the host. Oh well, education begins after 25.
By the way Mindy, I visited your website. Interesting pictures and language. Do you see any disparity between using such language on the Internet or displaying such pictures and making sugary comments here about the Church? Having it both ways seems to be a common thread with the young people who so actively post on this site.
I well recognize that my comments are wasted here. I honestly chalk it up to the fact that many of you just lack the necessary experience to be consistent in your belief structure, even when it has to do with such serious issues as we have discussed. I will however leave you to your fun. I simply hope that there is a large mass of maturity waiting to envelope you just around the corner.
How is there a need for maturity? I merely said there needs to be greater respect for the Eucharist and I defend the position of Communion on the tongue. Please explain how that shows I'm having it both ways or need to mature?
Moneybags, greetings from Brazil. You are one of my favorite catholic blogs and your fantastic post on the Eucharistic miracle in Venezuela helped confirm many catholic coworkers at office. Don't waste time with arrogant atheists, heretics and schismatics; it is not worth your peace of spirit. They won't convert but by God's grace.
In Corde Jesu et Mariae,
Teophilus
Teophilus,
I am so greatful for your comment. What I am must overjoyed about is that my post on that Eucharistic Miracle helped spread and confirm the Truth of the Catholic Faith.
I hope you visit often and thank you for your extremely kind remarks!
I would like to chime in on this thread. I have read everyone's comments, including those from a person who apparently has angered you and your supporters by his/her comments. I understand that this is your blog and all, but you shouldn't totally dismiss the comments that person made. They may have been made inartfully, but it sounds as though they simply suggest that when you make really strident remarks and suggest very strict positions when you are very young in the church, people often react negatively. I see that you wish to become a priest and that is a wonderful goal. But don't forget that one of your primary duties as a priest is to grow your parish. Without parishioners, you have no income stream and without that, well you get the picture. The bishop starts asking why he is getting letters from parishioners about your tone and temper and then things just go down hill from there. What this person is saying sounds like is rooted in some real world experiences with the politics of the church. You may not like the words that were used, but I didn't sense any malice toward you. Our Church is going through a rough time since Vatican 2, and it often seems that everyone has an idea on how to fix the problems. Maybe this person has seen good priests brought down by their own foolish actions and doesn't want to see you added to the list.
I don't think this person was trying to insult you or drive you from your vocation as much as he/she was trying to say that you and your supporters here all sound very young and that some of your remarks are a bit over the top. I wouldn't take offense at this at all. We are all Catholics and this person identified themself as someone who has been involved in the Church for many years. So it is wrong for you or your supporters to simply disregard the information because you disagree with it. Treat this person with respect. If you are successful in becoming a priest, you will have hundreds of parishioners who have the exact same positions and who will say things that you don't like. It is nice to see that you are strict in your own belief system because we all need to be that way. And your thoughts about the liturgy are interesting. But just please try to remember that some of us have seen firebrands come and go in the church. They usually don't last long because they rub people the wrong way and it causes them to be unable to build coalitions in the parish where they are most needed. We all want you to succeed, even the person whom you and your supporters seemed to be peeved with. Don't be angry at all...you may not have seen what that person has seen.
Oh, dear Moneybags. "Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in faith, in chastity" (1 Tim. 4:12).
You're doing wonderful things through this blog, Moneybags. Don't let anyone talk you into giving up your convictions just because people will disagree with you. You are "an example of the faithful," and you will continue to be so as you live out your vocation, particularly if you continue to hold dear the traditions of Holy Mother Church. Let those who would try to guilt you into becoming a "moderate" go be episcopalians.
