I was just visiting Salt of the Earth, a blog by Adam, and I read this:"I'm not going to go into why the pope is the Antichrist right now"How horrible! Our Holy Father is not the Antichrist! The pope is the successor of St. Peter, who was the first pope founded on the Catholic Church in Matthew 16:18. Please go over there and present the truth of the Catholic faith and counter this saddening lie.

First let me say that I recently discovered your blog and have begun reading it weekly (congrats on your vocation, btw). I myself am in the initiation process into the Church.
I can understand your offense. After reading your post I did go to read what this was all about. After reading this boy's entry, I also went to his cited texts (on this website he mentioned; I can give you the link if you like), which is what offended me most: that there are people in power of any kind, not merely spreading misinformation about the Church, but about their own faith as well (Lutheran)--as a scholar, I found the missed context absurd. More frightening that this blogger intends to go into teaching himself...
But we shouldn't let such ignorance move us to anger, should we? What he says, he says out of complete ignorance. If anything, I have pity for him. All I can think to do is correct his misinformation and hope that he does not continue to accept so passively everything and anything that is given to him...
That and pray for him...

That was actually my first visit to your blog, and I still am saddened to see someone believe the Pope is the antichrist. It didn't make a good impression.
Aaron, I will have this discussion in a calm matter. The only problem I have is when people claim that the Successor to St. Peter is the anti-christ. This is offending to me.
