(Moved to the top) Thank you for everyone that has written to me so far. It is deeply appreciated!
Original Post: Hello, everyone!
I wanted to ask a favor of any of you that have read my blog before. It doesn't matter if you comment all the time or if you have never commented before. This month is the one-year anniversary of my blog, and I want to find out if it has impacted people. I put this site together for Jesus Christ. It wasn't for me; it wasn't for popularity. It was all for Jesus and His Church.
Since day one, this has been my inspiration to continue: "There are not one hundred people in this world who dislike Catholicism, but there are millions who dislike what they mistakenly believe Catholicism to be." - Archbishop Fulton Sheen
If you wouldn't mind, I would appreciate you write me a note on how this blog has impacted your life. Was it the prayers, news, perspective, etc. from my articles that impacted your faith? Has your involvement in your parish changed remotely because of this blog?
I thank you all for this amazing year!
If you would, as some of these may be more personal than others, email me your thoughts. Please email me here:
acatholiclife[at]gmail[dot]com
Just replaced [at] with @ and [dot] a period.
I've had such a wonderful time on this blog that I want this to continue for at least another year. We are near the one-month away point for the anniversary, so please send in your comments before the end of June.
Thank you, all!

Dearest Moneybags, I proudly entered the church in 2006. I have been enjoying your site for a good part of this first year. The devotions, novenas, quotes have been nothing short of inspirational and feed my soul every day. I also enjoyed picking a saint and the gifts of the holy spirit for me and my family. I feel as thought your site is genuine and true to the faith. Please keep it up and may God bless you and yours!
I originally found your blog through a blogger search when my son was doing his first reconcilation in November. I have read it regularly since then.
I have learned so much from your blog. You have helped shape me into a different person. I am a stronger Catholic and a better person overall. Thank you.
You have taught me things about the Catholic church I did not know or understand. I was raised Lutheran and converted in 1998. I never did understand confession but I go now. I understand and believe. I never agreed with alot of the teachings but you have helped me realize the biblical basis for them and I now not only understand but I agree with them.
Thank you so much for what you are doing. You are reaching out to people who may not be able to find the answers elsewhere. You have so much information on a variety of issues and it is in easily readable terms. I have read your prayers, I have prayed along with you. I have prayed for you on your journey into the priesthood. You have greatly affected me in a postive way and I want to say thank you to you and to God for all his help and guidance.
I had you pick a saint for me. It was one I had never heard of but it was like it was meant to be for me. I found a prayer card online about him and printed it off. It has such a perfect little saying for my goals in life...It is amazing that the perfect saint was picked for me.
May God continue to bless you along your journey.
I have your blogsubscribed on MyMSN, so I see new entries all the time. Though I don't comment, sometimes I think about it. I'd never before thought of reading an entire book as my Lenten contemplation. As I was short of funds at the time, I chose to read "The Day I Was Crucified", a novel about the Passion. Though it was a fictional novel, if gave me the sense of what Jesus would have went through. I should have thanked you long before now for that suggestion. I was actually wanting to read "The Dolorous Passion..." but was so short of funds that I ahd to read something I already had at home.
I do read this blog often, it is such a joy to read what you have to say. I've even started checking on the vocation blog you just created. Thank you for writing on here like you have been.

You have certainly helped the Catholic Church by being so supportive and sharing your faith is very wonderful and I hope your parents realize what a wonderful son they have. Priests are chosen by God and they are special people and they don't get the respect they should. Many are called but few are chosen. What a gift you are to the people who read your blog.

Moneybags,
I'll send you an e-mail, but I always wanted to ask you.. How did you chose the name Moneybags?
Anonymous,
I got my screenname several years ago from Monopoly. I always loved the boardgame, and I liked Mr. Pennybags from the game. I decided to change the name and be a little creative, so I changed it to Moneybags.
God Bless!
I'll send you an email, too, but Happy Anniversary! Keep up the great work you do!
Keep up the blogging!

Dear Moneybags
Congratulations on Your 1st anniversary of blogging. You have done a wonderful job and I am very proud of all your accomplishments. You will be in my prayers
Moneybags, this blog is a blessing to us all. You focus on issues that matter greatly to me, and your style of writing is uplifting. Keep up the good work! In a sea of Blogger stupidity (as far as other blogs go), A Catholic Life shines out like a beacon of hope for those of us who embrace our faith and enjoy sharing about our doctrines.
God bless you for all the hard work you put into your blog!
Hello Moneybags,
I have never left a comment here before, but I'm an avid reader. I think this is a wonderful blog and it is an asset to Blogger.com.
Oh, and ditto everything that Thane, Ginny and the others said above.

Dear Moneybags,
Congratulations on your first year of blogging. Your blog is a real blessing to me and really reflects the joy of the Lord. May God bless you as you travel on your way into the priesthood.
Your words are beyond touching. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I was especially moved by this: "A Catholic Life shines out like a beacon of hope for those of us who embrace our faith and enjoy sharing about our doctrines."
I'm honored to help others and be a beacon for Christ. I hope that I will be able to continue to blog for years to come.
God Bless you all :)
