Anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun

On October 13, 1917, Mary appeared again to the three children and said, "I want to tell you that a chapel is to be built here in my honor. I am the Lady of the Rosary. Continue always to pray the Rosary every day. The war is going to end, and the soldiers will soon return to their homes." By then there were thousands of witnesses.

Mary also said, "Do not offend the Lord our God anymore, because He is already so much offended."

At that, the Miracle of the Sun was witnessed by 70,000 people as it danced in the sky, changed colors, and was hurled towards earth as if to destroy it. It is truly an amazing miracle and a proof of the Truth of the Catholic Faith.

The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared later in 1929 to Sister Lucia as well to request the First Saturday Devotion.  Read more on the apparitions in Fatima.

MB,

It's amazing how much effort some detractors have put forth trying to deny this miracle. One guy claimed it was a coronal mass ejection. Another said it was mass hypnotism. And, of course, one of the non-Catholic sites claims the Catholic Church made the whole thing up and it's a pack of lies.

Horicon, why can't you believe this miracle? There are photos and evidence of it occurring.

Horicon, if you read this 6 years later, I have to warn you that as Catholics and Lutherans are separated on Earth so shall they be in eternity.
In other words, since only one Christian faith was revealed by the one God, that is, The Truth (John 14:6) and is the true Christian faith only its adherents are with Jesus Christ in Heaven while adherents of all the other, that is, false doctrines are in Hell, including all the adherents of false Christian doctrines (Galatians 1:6-9).

As to the miracle of Fatima, secular (read: atheist) Portuguese media reported about the miracle, without denying it, since their men were at the scene and had seen what everybody who was there, believer or unbeliever, had seen.
